PGA TOUR Sanderson Farms Championship Returns to Mississippi

The state’s annual PGA Tour competition – the Sanderson Farms Championship benefitting Century Club Charities – takes place November 2-8 at historic Country Club of Jackson.

The esteemed private club course measures 7,284 yards from the Championship Tees and proved a stern test for golf's best players last year.

PGA of America Honors Visit Mississippi Golf and Sports Program Manager Janet Leach

The PGA of America's Mississippi chapter awarded Visit Mississippi’s Golf and Sports Program Manager Janet Leach with its 2015 Carpenter-Lindsay Award.

A state native, Leach continues to be instrumental in the development and success of one of America's premier golf destinations. The PGA honored her 20 years of diligent work, unfailing passion and excellence promoting the state's many golf assets.

The Carpenter-Lindsay Award is presented to individuals who have unselfishly served and supported the game and PGA professionals. Previous winners include George Bryan, Joe Sanderson, Sonny Lawson and more. The PGA will present her award at a ceremony this fall.
