XGOLF Selected by Coast Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab

(LOS ANGELES) – XGOLF (www.xgolfsimulator.com), a world-renowned technologically-advanced golf simulator, club-fitting and instructional system, has been selected by Coast Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., for use with clients and patients. The facility has incorporated XGOLF into its therapeutic approach with its clientele. Even individuals who never have held a golf club before are realizing the benefits of XGOLF.

“While physical therapy is distinct from the entertainment functionality of XGOLF, advanced technology is an integral part of the modern PT field,” said James Kim, CEO of XGOLF. “XGOLF’s unique features are well suited to the PT application, and we are pleased to provide technology that enhances advances in this medical field.”

The XPLATE is one XGOLF feature that physical therapists find especially useful and effective. It often is utilized with patients to help correct balance impairment.
About Coast Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab

Each member of the clinical staff at Coast Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab is licensed by the Physical Therapy Board of California, resulting in high-quality care. The facility, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and modalities, strives to give each patient individualized treatment based on personal rehabilitation goals.

“Many of our patients are being treated for flexibility and weakness impairments,” said Dr. Martyne Beth Bonzo, PT, owner/director of Coast Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab and a BACKtoGOLF Certified Performance and Fitness Specialist. “The golf swing requires both flexibility and stability.

“This is why the XGOLF simulator is part of the ideal treatment regimen for our patients who play golf – and the ones who are interested in becoming golfers.”

Dr. Bonzo does not give golf lessons. Rather, as a physical therapist, she analyzes the biomechanics of a patient and sets up a plan to improve the individual’s ability to perform a golf swing or modify the swing based on physical impairments. XGOLF now is an integral part of the process, with motion-capture cameras and video-replay at the touch of a button providing swing analysis as it relates to each patient’s impairment and capabilities.
