Dancin’ Dogg Golf Launches Latest Replication of Historic Major Championship Venue for Award-Winning OptiShot Infrared Simulator

Red Wickers Precisely Captures Features of Iconic Philadelphia-Area Course Hosting Fifth U.S. Open Championship

(TRAVERSE CITY, MI) – Dancin’ Dogg Golf – maker of the award-winning OptiShot Infrared Simulator, the ultimate in-home virtual golf system – announces the release of Red Wickers, a replication of the historic Philadelphia-area course hosting this week’s U.S. Open Championship.

Offered just in time for Father’s Day, Red Wickers is ranked among the nation’s top-10 courses by Golf Digest and GOLF Magazine. Balancing short par-4s with some of the world’s toughest finishing holes, the 117-year-old course has been the site of many legendary performances. Notable among these are the last leg of Bobby Jones’ 1930 Grand Slam and Ben Hogan’s triumphant comeback at the1950 U.S. Open.

“Playing a major championship venue, especially one as unforgettable as this week’s site, is high on the bucket list of all golfers,” says Russell Edens, CEO of Dancin’ Dogg. “By capturing even the smallest details with remarkable accuracy, our system makes it possible for everyone to tee it up at the ‘Boutique Open.’”

Alongside other major championship tracks – such as Atlanta Highlands, Capitol Club, Fylde Links, Golden Gate Club, Jones Lake, Monterey Classic, Old Scot and Whispering Dunes – Red Wickers ($74.95) is available for download at www.dancindogg.com. The basic OptiShot system (MSRP: $399.95) comes standard with 12 true-to-life designs, as well as a par-3 option and realistic driving range.

“For less than the cost of a new driver, OptiShot offers an experience totally distinct from everything else on the market,” adds Edens. “From the comfort of home, you, your family and friends can play real golf, any time, using your own clubs and learn what it’s like to truly be inside the ropes on the game’s grandest stages.”

Connecting with Windows computers via a plug-and-play interface, OptiShot requires only 8-½ feet of swing space. Up to four players per round can compete by hitting real balls, foam balls (provided) or no ball at all. Infrared sensors on a durable swing pad precisely record club head speed, face angle, swing path, distance, tempo, face contact and ball flight.

A refined user interface, sleek new design, easier-to-read data, improved navigation, variety of putting modes, custom display options and the ability to preview premium courses were recently introduced as part of the next generation OptiShot software. Also included:
* Pin-Point Practice Range: Improve ball control with accuracy lines, precision rings, shot patterning and progress tracking
* Course Physics: Set fairway and green speeds or select shot difficulty in light rough, rough and bunkers
* Game Types: Choose from alternate shot, match play, stroke play, best ball, better ball, Stableford and skins
* Game Length: Play front nine, back nine, 18 holes or select any hole to create a custom game
