Titleist Leads Ball Count at the CIMB Classic

The PGA Tour is in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the CIMB Classic. Being held at Kuala Lumpur G&CC’s West course, the CIMB Classic is a co-sanctioned event with the Asian Golf Tour, giving fans the chance to see the best players from all over the world.

The 7,000 yard par-72 West course offers players a chance to be very aggressive off the tee which sets up many opportunities for birdies and low scores.

"You know, there's driver off a lot of holes...It gives you options even on the par 5s and allows you to be aggressive," says defending champion and Titleist Pro V1x Loyalist Lee Westwood.

Players are also focused on the importance of playing well in the next two events in hopes of setting up a strong season. Last season's FedExCup Champion and Pro V1x Loyalist Billy Horschel believes this week can help set up success for the rest of the season.

"Playing here this week and playing next week in Shanghai, if I can get two good tournaments under my belt and hopefully a victory, it can help me possibly win the FedExCup next year," said Horschel.
With low scores on the horizon and valuable FedExCup points at stake, there is sure to be a lot of action at this week's CIMB Classic.

BY THE NUMBERS: 2014 CIMB Classic
Titleist is the golf ball of choice with 41 players in this limited field event trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success - more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice among players in the sand, lob and approach wedge (57) categories.
