FORE Georgia Magazine Showcases The Golf Club of Georgia in July Issue

(MARIETTA, GA) - FORE Georgia (www.ForeGeorgia.com), the "Official Golfers' Magazine of the Georgia PGA", announced that its July 2015 issue will showcase The Golf Club of Georgia.

Steeped in tradition and nestled in a private enclave of North Atlanta, The Golf Club of Georgia provides a standard of excellence enjoyed by few private clubs. Established in 1990, the Club has made an impressive statement both competitively and through its course conditions, consistently recognized as one of the finest 36-hole golf clubs in the country.

Since 1998 The Golf Club of Georgia has hosted The Georgia Cup, an 18-hole charity match between the reigning United States Amateur Champion and British Amateur Champion. Since 2006, the Club has hosted The United States Collegiate Championship, featuring the nation's top college golf teams. From 1995-2000, the Club was the site of the Senior PGA Tour's Nationwide Championship, televised by ESPN and won by Hall of Famer Hale Irwin in its final two years. The Club also has hosted the Georgia Amateur Championship, U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying and the NCAA East Regional Championship. The Club's Lakeside Course, designed by Arthur Hills, won Golf Digest's prestigious "Best New Private Course in America" award in 1991.

In its July issue, FORE Georgia will take you behind the scenes to experience the renovations that the new owner has planned for The Golf Club of Georgia to be restored back to its original glory emerging as a vibrant golf, social and business club where memorable experiences are created and shared.

Also featured in the pages of the July issue are the Georgia Men's and Women's Open and State Am as well as a look at all the other exciting golf new in the state.
