2018 World Long Drive Schedule Announced; Five Events Live in Primetime on Golf Channel

New Televised Events Include Stops in Arizona, Atlantic City & Tennessee

(ORLANDO, Fla.) – Coming off record viewership and a season fueled by emergent dynamic personalities, the World Long Drive Association (WLDA) today announced its 2018 schedule, which will feature five televised events airing live on Golf Channel. The announcement comes following September’s Volvik World Long Drive Championship that was televised in nearly 80 countries around the world as Justin James and Sandra Carlborg claimed their respective World Championship belts.

The five televised events are an increase from three in 2017, and collectively account for half of the 10 events on the 2018 World Long Drive schedule, each airing live and in primetime on Golf Channel. Featuring both the Open and Women’s Divisions, three new events are coupled with the return of the Clash in the Canyon (Mesquite, Nev., Tuesday, April 24) and the 2018 Volvik World Long Drive Championship (Thackerville, Okla., Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept. 4-5), which will be staged at the WinStar World Casino & Resort for the fourth consecutive year. The new events include:
· Ak-Chin Smash in the Sun (Maricopa, Ariz., Tuesday, May 15)
· Atlantic City Boardwalk Bash (Atlantic City, N.J., Tuesday, June 5)
· Long Drive Classic presented by Niswonger Children’s Hospital (Kingsport, Tenn., Monday, August 13)

“World Long Drive has quickly emerged as an exciting spectacle in our sport, with record viewership in 2017 driven by a younger audience gravitating toward the dramatic storylines and personalities playing out live in primetime,” said Molly Solomon, executive vice president, content, Golf Channel. “In two years, the number of televised Long Drive events has increased from one in 2016 to now half of the schedule in 2018. It’s a testament to the men and women making an impact on the growth of this sport, bringing a whole new appreciation to hitting it long.”

Jonathan Coachman Joining WLDA Telecasts in 2018
Veteran sports broadcaster Jonathan Coachman will lend his voice to Golf Channel’s live coverage of WLDA events in 2018, serving as play-by-play host at each of the five televised events. Most recently, Coachman worked as an anchor for SportsCenter, having spent nearly 10 years at ESPN where he also contributed to the network’s coverage of The Masters on multiple occasions. Prior, he spent 10 years as a professional wrestling commentator.

One additional event is scheduled to be staged in the fall, being contested as part of the 2018-2019 season:
· Catawba Classic – Hickory, N.C. (November 3-4)

Showcasing the truly global nature of World Long Drive, several events will be staged in 2018 through officially sanctioned WLDA international partners, including stops in Germany, Japan, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Additionally, an all-encompassing international qualifier will be staged (late summer) featuring a minimum of four exemptions into the Open Division of the Volvik World Long Drive Championship in September.

Expanded Coverage in 2017 Leads to Most-Viewed World Long Drive Season Ever
Golf Channel’s expanded World Long Drive coverage in 2017 featured three televised events, the Clash in the Canyon in June, Mile High Showdown in July and Volvik World Long Drive Championship in September. Across all telecasts (live and replay) airing on Golf Channel and NBC, 6.4 million unique viewers watched at least some portion of World Long Drive events in 2017, +295% vs. 2016, and the most-viewed season of World Long Drive on record (2013-2017). PING Introduces Spring Product Line-up

(PHOENIX) - Setting new standards in combined MOI and forgiveness for a driver, PING today introduced the new G400 Max driver along with the G700 irons, Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges and PING Vault 2.0 putters. The new products are available for pre-order beginning today.

“We’re on a mission to help golfers play better, and we know that starts with clubs that deliver across-the-board performance gains,” said John K. Solheim, PING president. “The new G400 Max is engineered with the same technology as the original G400 but we’ve optimized the size to gain even more forgiveness, which leads to tighter dispersion and lower scores. With the addition of the Max to the G400 driver family, golfers now have four fitting options to ensure they’re getting the most out of their game. If you struggle finding the fairway with consistency, the Max is likely the best fit for you.”

G400 Max Driver
In the G400 Max driver, PING achieved its all-time high MOI measurements by optimizing the crown and face design in the larger-profile, multi-material head. The forgiveness gains are attributable to the 460cc head and nearly four times the discretionary weight created by Dragonfly crown technology and the thin, forged face. Its high-density tungsten back weight wraps around the back of the sole to help bring the combined MOI (heel/toe and high/low) over 9,900 gram cm2. Its CG position is lower and farther back than any current driver on the market to make it the most forgiving driver in golf – surpassing the current G400 driver.

“Our engineers focused on increasing the forgiveness of the driver while maintaining the distance gains and powerful sound of the original G400 driver,” said Solheim. “It’s remarkable how long and straight the G400 Max flies. The forgiveness is off the charts and leads to tighter dispersion, which reveals just how consistent your distance and accuracy results will be on the golf course. We encourage all golfers to get fit and look closely at their dispersion, not just their one best shot on a launch monitor.”

The added forgiveness has also appealed to a number of tour professionals, including PING Pros Aaron Baddeley and Seamus Power, who put the G400 Max in play at last week’s Sony Open in Hawaii.

The unique forging and patented heat-treatment process of the G400 Max’s T9S+ face powers a thinner, hotter impact area that is precision machined to elevate ball speed across the entire face. The forged face was also instrumental in producing the powerful feel of the driver.

Adding to the appeal of the G400 Max driver is the innovative color-shifting paint technology of the Alta CB shaft. This premium copper shaft paint transitions to nearly black to reduce distractions as golfers address the ball. The counter-balanced design of the Alta CB allows for more mass in the head to increase energy transfer.

G400 Max Driver Technology and Specifications:

Glide 2.0 Stealth Wedges
The Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges’ 8620 carbon steel head and precision-milled grooves deliver a softer feel and higher-spinning shots for greater control. The tour-inspired Stealth finish, which yields less glare and makes the head appear smaller, is applied using a QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) process for added durability. This wedge fits the game and the eye of players for whom performance and appearance go hand in hand.

A patented precision wheel-cut half groove near the lead edge on the 56⁰, 58⁰ and 60⁰ improves engagement with the ball (specifically low on the face) to significantly increase spin and control from all conditions. The wheel-cut milling process was developed by PING’s engineering and manufacturing teams to enable grooves with a sharper edge radius, which increases interaction with the cover of the ball at impact, creating more friction for improved spin and trajectory control. The grooves in the lower-lofted wedges (46°, 50° & 52°) are milled with a 20° sidewall and a .005" edge radius for optimal full-shot performance. The higher-lofted versions (54°, 56°, 58° & 60°) are milled to a .004" edge radius and a 28° sidewall to impart more spin, especially around the greens.

“The tour player response has been exceptional,” said Solheim. “The players first comment about the Stealth finish, which not only looks cool, they like how it makes the head appear smaller and it limits reflections on bright days. Once they feel it and see how much spin and control the grooves provide, the wedges go straight in the bag.”

The patented design is offered in four sole grinds (SS, WS, ES and TS) to ensure Glide 2.0 Stealth wedges can be fit to a golfer’s divot depth or attack angle and most common turf conditions.

SS GRIND  (46°/12°, 50°/12°, 52°/12°, 54°/12°, 56°/12°, 58°/10°, 60/10°)
An all-purpose mid-bounce sole with heel and trail edge relief to create versatility on touch shots around the green. Ideal for moderate attack angles and divots. Fits most golfers.

WS GRIND (54°/14°, 56°/14°, 58°/14°, 60/14°)
Full-sole design that provides turf security for players with a steep angle of attack. The reduced camber and added width prevent digging.

TS GRIND (58°/6°, 60°/6°)
A PING WRX-inspired design based on the Tour-proven half-moon grind. The TS grind facilitates shot making and precision from even the most difficult lies. The heel relief allows shots to be executed with an open face to difficult pins or from firm lies without fear of the lead edge sitting too high.

ES GRIND (54°/8°, 56°/8°, 58°/8°, 60°/8°)
Eye 2-inspired sole design provides the ultimate in bunker performance, resulting from the classic dish profile and the tapered hosel. A refined lead edge upgrades all-around performance with the iconic ES grind.

Glide 2.0 Stealth Wedges Technology and Specifications:

U.S. MSRP: $150 per club w/steel shaft; $175 per club w/graphite shaft

G700 Irons
In the G700 iron, PING engineers put a high priority on creating an iron that offers power and forgiveness by leveraging the advantages of a hollow-body design and a thin, maraging steel face, creating PING’s longest, highest-flying iron to date.

“The desire for golfers to hit their irons farther continues to grow,” said Solheim. “We want to provide options that greatly increase distance without sacrificing other performance attributes, such as consistency, forgiveness and feel. With the G700 iron, we’ve been able to accomplish all of that in a very appealing design with a sound that screams distance from the moment golfers hit it.”

The hollow-body construction of the 17-4 stainless steel head allows for an internal geometry design that positions weight away from the face, creating a frame for metal-wood-like flexing and high COR to greatly increase ball speed and produce launch results that will amaze golfers.

Maraging steel, which is also used in the G400 fairway woods, hybrids and crossovers, is one of the strongest alloys in the world and is commonly employed in the aerospace industry, where strength and flexibility are necessities. Those properties make it an ideal face material to deliver more flexing for faster ball speeds that launch shots farther and higher.

“We’re seeing significant ball-speed increases in the G700 while maintaining the consistency and control golfers need to improve their iron play,” said Solheim. “It also has a great overall look, especially at address, and a premium finish. When golfers hit it, they’ll experience a sensation and sound that’s unlike any they’ve ever felt or heard.”

G700 Iron Technology and Specifications:
Multi-material construction: Hollow-body 17-4 stainless steel head, C300 Maraging Steel face, HydroPearl finish

PING Vault 2.0 Putters
The next generation of PING’s 100%-milled putters are crafted and engineered to provide tour-caliber touch and performance through proven innovations like precision-milled, patented True Roll Technology (TR), plus a new custom-weighting system. The new system offers sole weight options in steel (standard weight head), tungsten (15 gms heavier than standard) and aluminum (15 gms lighter than standard) to match a golfer’s feel and balance preferences.

“The PING Vault 2.0 putters are luxurious works of art that are engineered to perform,” said Solheim. “The craftsmanship and materials used in our milling and finishing processes ensure premium, eye-catching designs that appeal to the most discerning golfers. The ability to customize the weights provides golfers a putter uniquely built to fit their game.”

Precision-milled TR technology ensures full-face forgiveness for consistent speed off the face. The individually milled face pattern varies in depth and pitch across the face, which speeds up off-center impacts, improving consistency and ultimately leading to fewer three-putts.

“As we advance the technologies we apply in designing and manufacturing our putters, we’re able to offer more putter-fitting options than ever,” said Solheim. “The precision with which we mill the PING Vault 2.0 putters allows us to fine-tune the specifications that best match a golfer’s stroke and feel preference. With our new weighting system, we’re able to add or reduce the overall headweight to achieve the best balance for each player which will lead to more consistency on the greens.”

Golfers can choose from three premium finishes (Stealth, Platinum or Copper) in five models precision-milled from 303 stainless steel, including the new Dale Anser, which is inspired by one of the original Anser putter molds created by Allan Dale Solheim and detailed by his father, Karsten Solheim. The award-winning Ketsch mallet (Stealth or Slate finish) combines a fully-machined 6061 aerospace-grade aluminum body with a stainless steel sole plate for an extremely high MOI and offers exceptional alignment features. All the models are fit for stroke and designed with varying alignment aids to fit a golfer’s preferred look and alignment style.  As part of the custom building process that ensures optimal balance, putters between 34" and 36" in length are built with steel sole weights; models 34" and shorter feature tungsten weighting; putters built 36" and longer use aluminum weights.

Four proprietary PING Pistol tapered grips provide golfers with variances in shape and feel. The PP60 is a midsize, lightweight design with a foam under-listing and dominant flats for face awareness. The PP61 has an exaggerated pistol to fit the contour of the golfer’s hands, and a rubber under-listing for a softer response. The PP62 is a lightweight, oversized grip with a rounded profile. The CB60 is standard on custom counter-balanced putters in the line.

Operation Support Military Golf Partners with Industry Organizations

Non-Profit Raises Funds for “Reviving the Golf Courses that Revitalize Our Heroes”

(JACKSONVILLE, Florida) – Operation Support Military Golf (OSMG) – the non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance service members' morale, welfare, and recreation by improving golf courses and associated facilities at bases worldwide – today announces that it has partnered with leading golf industry associations.

The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (, American Society of Golf Course Architects ( and Golf Course Builders Association of America ( have pledged their proud support of OSMG (

OSMG was created to serve those who have, do and will serve our nation by ensuring their Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) is not forgotten. Positive MWR is an integral component in the well-being and quality of life of our service members and their families.

There are 145 military base golf facilities located in 40 states and 11 overseas countries. In many cases, overseas golf courses are service members’ only safe and cost-efficient means of outdoor recreation, relaxation from work stress, and separation from their families.

Stateside military golf courses are provided zero government funding to operate and overseas courses receive minimal funding. They are required to be entirely self-sufficient. OSMG was founded to help fill this “non-essential” items void.

As a groundbreaking, global, military supportive, 501(c)(3) non-profit, OSMG's goal is to provide a $1 million infusion to each military golf facility. Helping increase accessibility for our wounded and aging veterans, reducing golf facilities maintenance costs through modernized equipment, and increasing overall visual enjoyment are just some of the specific benefits from the upgrades.

"Having these organizations unite for OSMG shows that they understand how important recreation and wellness programs are for service members' morale in general, and specifically through golf, with its camaraderie, competition, exercise, and outdoor activity," says OSMG Founder Jennifer Poth. "Many military base golf courses are falling into great disrepair due to longstanding budget constraints, and OSMG raises funds and in-kind donations for revitalization work that would not otherwise occur."

Military courses are spread throughout Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine bases. OSMG strives to rotate through the services, one base at a time, to equitably support each. The first revitalization is underway at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Fla., the city where OSMG is based. To date, most support for the renovation has come from in-kind contributions including that of Arnold Palmer Design Company ( and MacCurrach Golf Construction, Inc. (

About the Awards
Most Innovative Concept: This award recognizes a product (in development or finalized) that is truly unique in a product category. From a sketch through a fully developed product, this category looks at the overall innovation of the concept and how it fits into the category. Examples of this include: Does the product represent an innovative approach to the benefit it provides the consumer? Does the product take a novel approach to its function and design? Does the product solve a consumer problem in a new or creative fashion?

Best Marketing Effort: Marketing an idea effectively can be a daunting challenge. This award showcases inventors who develop and deliver an irresistible sales pitch that makes prospects acutely aware of the value they will derive from their product or service, in a clear and quantifiable way.

The Pinnacle Award (Best in Show): The successful development of a product takes talent, knowledge, and tenacity. As such, the Pinnacle Award recognizes the broadest range of efforts by the inventor, be it from design, market research, sales, fulfillment, manufacturing and quality. This category is judged on the entire process. Judgements on this award are based on the attention paid by the inventor to all phases of ideation, invention, and commercialization.

How Judging Works: Judging will be conducted by UIA experts, who will visit inventors at their booths to learn more about the product. Inventors will share attributes, demonstrate the product and be able to ask questions of the judges to further their invention. There is no fee required to participate in the UIA Awards Program.

PING Signs K.J. Choi to Equipment Contract

(PHOENIX) – Eight-time PGA Tour winner K.J. Choi, the first Korean to earn a PGA Tour card and to win on tour, has signed an agreement to play PING equipment, PING Chairman & CEO John A. Solheim announced today. Choi will make his debut as a PING Pro at the Sony Open in Hawaii, which begins Thursday.

Asia’s winningest golfer, Choi, 47, has amassed 22 victories worldwide since turning pro in 1994 and he’s spent 40 weeks in the top 10 in the world rankings. His first professional victory was the 1996 Korean Open. Since joining the PGA Tour in 2000, he has earned more than $32 million, his first tour win coming in 2002. His most notable title is the 2011 Players Championship.

“K.J. has played a lot of PING equipment in his career and been a friend to us going back to 2011, and he’s been a consistently strong performer on tour for many years. We’re proud to make him an official member of the PING team,” Solheim said. “He’s a friendly, highly likeable person and widely respected by his peers. He’s been on four Presidents Cup teams, playing in three and serving as vice captain of the International Team in 2015, so he’s competed at the highest level internationally. He’ll bring the PING brand tremendous exposure and credibility around the world, especially in South Korea, where he’s extremely popular among golfers.”

A powerlifter in his native South Korea before picking up golf, Choi said he’s had an ongoing connection with PING in Korea and the U.S. for years and is happy to formalize the relationship. “I have long admired PING equipment for its quality and I feel it’s a true collaboration when I work with the tour-player staff. I can be very particular about what I want from a golf club, and their attention to detail is as keen as mine, so they always find the right solution for me and my game. I’m truly excited to be on board with PING and very much look forward to the season ahead.”

As part of a multi-year agreement, Choi will play a minimum of 13 PING clubs. This week he’ll rely on a G400 driver and fairway woods, G400 hybrid, G400 irons, Glide 2.0 wedges, and a Sigma G Piper putter. Choi’s headwear and golf bag will feature PING branding.

Financial terms and the length of the agreement were not disclosed.

New USGA Regional Golf Association Alliance SupportsGrassroots Community Golf Programs

(LIBERTY CORNER, N.J.) - Fifty-nine regional golf associations have entered into a new relationship with the United States Golf Association to enhance the golfer experience at the state and local levels in the United States.

These Allied Golf Associations (AGAs), supported by the USGA's five existing regional affairs offices, will administer the USGA Handicap and Course Rating Systems within defined geographic areas across the country. In addition, they will serve as the community's primary resource for USGA services such as championship qualifiers, governance, golf facility support and programs that help grow and improve the long-term health of the game.

Golfers can find an Allied Golf Association in their area by clicking here:

"Regional golf associations are the lifeblood of the golf community and the USGA," said Mike Davis, USGA CEO. "We felt that now was the best time to formalize this new alliance, in the spirit of working together on grassroots programs, improving how we serve golfers and providing a healthy foundation from which the entire golf community can grow."

Newly recognized AGAs were identified through a nearly year-long discovery process that encouraged collaboration among existing golf organizations within each state and region, sharing best practices and leveraging programs that have made a positive impact.

The resulting relationship will enable AGAs to provide a variety of competitive playing opportunities that engage more golfers of all levels within their region. The AGAs will also serve as local experts for education on topics such as modernizing golf's rules, the new World Handicap System and related governance functions.

Each AGA will also have direct access to USGA research, funding for programs such as USGA P.J. Boatwright Internships, data and technology, additional expertise to better serve the health of golf facilities and support of national grow-the-game initiatives including PLAY9.

One of the alliance's most significant benefits to golfers will be the centralized computation of USGA Handicap Indexes in the United States to improve efficiency, consistency and governance oversight. The move to a more modernized, digital platform will also empower Allied Golf Associations to more deeply engage golfers within their community through rich, real-time player data.

An AGA Council has been formed to share information, help ongoing service delivery and provide continuous feedback directly to the USGA to better serve golfers and golf clubs. The 12-member council consists of AGA executive directors who will represent regions and markets throughout the United States.

The alliance marks the latest step by the USGA to more deeply engage the local and regional golf community. It complements the USGA's existing presence in all five major golf regions in the United States - Northeast, Great Lakes, Southeast, Central and West - where dedicated Regional Affairs directors currently serve in residence.

In addition to its five Regional Affairs directors, the USGA also supports golf clubs and facilities through the USGA Green Section, providing agronomic expertise through 13 regional offices.

K-Coach and K-Player 2.0 Debuting at 2018 PGA Show, Booth 1265

New Training Solution Boasts Launch Monitor Integration, Wrist Angle Measurement and Automated Swing Fitting Programs

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) - K-Motion – the pioneer of innovative, wearable human motion training applications for golf, baseball, fitness, physical therapy and beyond – will introduce K-Coach and K-Player 2.0, the world’s most complete training solution for golf, at booth 1265 during the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.

These newest innovations from K-Motion perfectly combine technology and education to provide coaches and players with an unprecedented ecosystem of game improvement resources. They are designed to accelerate the teaching and learning process and help grow and improve an instructor’s business.

K-Coach, the complete coaching platform for instructors of all levels, empowers golf professionals to better measure, understand, coach and train players. The product, based on what was formerly known as K-Vest, allows the coach to understand a student’s movement, plan the precise drills to improve the movement and ensure the drills are trained perfectly every time. With the introduction of wrist angle measurement, coaches can understand how the clubface behaves throughout the swing, while launch monitor integration identifies how the player’s swing directly affects the distance and accuracy of the player’s ball.

“For this year’s PGA Show, we set out to fully connect the player to the ball and the coach to the player.  K-Coach and K-Player 2.0 achieve that goal,” says Michael Chu, CEO of K-Motion. “These products give every coach and player the easy-to-use, reliable tools to elevate lessons and practice session to deliver unprecedented results.”

“Moving from K-Vest to K-Coach is part of our commitment to helping every coach make their players better faster,” says Steve Diamond, Chairman of K-Motion. “K-Coach is not only our world-renowned technology but also our cloud-based platform and extensive education system for coaches to not only transform their players’ games, but also their businesses.”

A groundbreaking feature being introduced in K-Coach is ‘Train to Your Best Swing’. The process is both simple and revolutionary: coaches of all levels auto-capture a group of swings, pick the best one or use the average of the group and then let the automated swing fitting feature convert that swing into a customized training program that guides the student to replicate and improve upon their best swing. All of this is delivered through patented biofeedback training and a cloud-based coaching platform that enables superior monitoring of players and connection to K-Player.

K-Player 2.0, the company’s training-specific product for players, ensures a player practices the right movements for the right amount of time, regardless of whether they are with their instructor or alone. How it works: a coach sends a custom-tailored training program designed in K-Coach to the student’s K-Player, the player then downloads the program and begins practicing exactly what the coach designed. The seamless connection between coach and player extends the lesson tee, making it feel like an instructor is at every practice session.

To support the K-Coach release, the company has created a new educational path for coaches that builds on their innovative Reading Kinematic Sequence Charts programs. The new education includes a revamped Level One and Level Two certification program. Collaborators on the program include Dr. Rob Neal, Liam Mucklow, Jason Meisch and Joe Dichiara.  Additionally, the platform is expanding its coaching resources to include resources that will enable a coach to become an authorized K-Motion Swing Fitter, a designation beyond certified.

“Our mission is to empower all coaches and players with the knowledge and tools they need to play better golf,” says Tony Morgan, Head of Golf at K-Motion. “With the ‘Train to Your Best Swing’ workflow, every instructor can use our K-Coach ecosystem. With our extensive education library, anyone can master biomechanics and biofeedback training used by top instructors. We truly have a solution for every golf professional. Our new release really is a game changer.”

Toptracer Named Presenting Sponsor of 2018 PGA Show Demo Day

Revolutionary Toptracer Range on Exhibit, Represents New Revenue Opportunity for Golf Facilities of All Sizes

(DALLAS, Texas) – Global sports entertainment leader Topgolf announced its Toptracer brand will be the presenting sponsor of the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day event, where its innovative camera-based ball-tracking platform will be on display and available for testing Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the driving range of Orange County National Golf Center (Winter Garden, Fla.).

One of the most impactful innovations ever to be integrated into televised golf broadcasts, Toptracer is widely regarded as the game’s premier ball-tracking system. It displays on-screen graphics to illustrate shot-shape and trajectory, as well as analyze distance, height, speed and other variables. Iconic events like The Open Championship, U.S. Open, Ryder Cup and various PGA TOUR events have used Toptracer to the delight of millions of television viewers worldwide.

Now, Toptracer is using the same technology seen on broadcasts to improve the overall practice experience at facilities around the world through Toptracer Range. Live in more than 500 bays across the globe, it allows players to track and examine every shot they hit, as well as play games and virtual golf, leading to a more dynamic and fun experience.

Toptracer Range helps facilities of all sizes increase revenue by transforming traditional ranges into practice and entertainment destinations that encourage players to return often with friends and family.

“The business model of driving ranges hasn’t dramatically changed in recent memory, and the result is that profits and usage have remained stagnant,” said Topgolf International and Toptracer Range President Troy Warfield. “With Toptracer Range, we’re providing operators a platform to quickly and easily improve their bottom line by engaging golf’s latent demand of 38 million people interested in the game. At the same time, players benefit from the incredible social, interactive experience for which Topgolf is best known.”

Toptracer Range was introduced at several trial sites across the U.S. and Europe to determine the impact this new technology might have on revenue. Each location featured Toptracer Range in up to 10 bays and collected data on month-over-month performance. The results showed that Toptracer Range-enhanced bays nearly doubled the revenue of non-Toptracer Range bays each month. In one instance at the Golf Center of Arlington in Texas, the results were even more dramatic, as its Toptracer Range bays were bringing in 205 percent more revenue than regular stalls.

The Topgolf team works to tailor solutions based on a facility’s budget and available space. The cost-effective setup works with a range’s existing targets, while the 21” in-bay screens create a more social and entertaining experience with real-time data and metrics. There are no upfront charges, and hardware, installation and support are included in the monthly per bay license fee. Toptracer Range installation can take place within four days.

Beyond its application to television broadcasts and driving ranges, Topgolf is utilizing Toptracer in a variety of unique ways. This includes Toptracer Tournament Range, allowing spectators at professional golf events to see the live shots of their favorite players on large screens, as well as integration into Topgolf Crush, which brings the Topgolf experience to epic stadiums and sports venues around the world. To date, it has visited top U.S. sporting arenas like Safeco Field in Seattle, Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and the Circuit of the Americas in Austin.

(OAK BROOK TERRACE, IL) – Zero Friction, widely known for its one-size compression fit gloves and the DistancePro GPS Glove, has announced the launch of two new products at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.  Zero Friction will exhibit in Booth #2073 from January 24-26, 2018.

“Zero Friction continues to create high quality, cutting-edge, performance products,” said John Iacono, President of Zero Friction. “I am pleased to announce that at this year’s show we will be introducing the new Spectra series of matte finish golf balls and the Cabretta Elite golf glove.”

The Spectra line golf ball is a high quality 2-piece distance ball finished in 6 matte colors: White, Lime, Red, Lemon, Orange and Fuchsia.  The large, super-fast core provides explosive distance, high launch and longer roll off the tee.

“Our Spectra golf balls create a higher visual appeal for the player,” said Iacono.  “Other countries have been selling colored golf balls for years. It was just a matter of time before colored balls caught on in the US.”

The Cabretta Elite golf glove is an upgrade to the original Cabretta glove released three years ago.  As with all the Zero Friction gloves, the new Cabretta Elite molds with your hand for a guaranteed fit.  The Cabretta leather provides a solid grip in wet or humid weather and works with smart phone & touch screen devices.  The reinforced lycra throughout fingers, back of hand and palm allow for maximum strength, durability, and enhanced breathability.  The men’s glove is available in seven colors (Red, White, Blue, Green, Black, Purple and Gray) and the ladies’ glove is available in five colors (Lavender, Pink, White, Turquoise and Black).

“The Cabretta Elite fits great, it’s breathable and looks fantastic,” said Iacono.  “Better yet, it’s priced right.”

TPT Golf Launches 15-LKP-LT-LW Shaft, A Proven Winner on Tour

(RENENS, SWITZERLAND) - TPT Golf is proud to announce the official launch of its 15-LKP-LT-LW, the shaft that was used to claim three professional victories this fall: the WGC-HSBC Champions in China, the Turkish Airlines Open (European Tour) and the Indonesian Masters (Asian Tour).

The 15-LKP-LT-LW joins TPT Golf's 15 Series, shafts that are designed to meet the needs of high-speed golfers. Within the 15 Series, the 15-LKP-LT-LW offers the lightest weight (63 grams). It is also the lowest-torque shaft in the entire TPT Golf lineup.

Like TPT Golf's 10 other shaft designs, the 15-LKP-LT-LW has a perfectly concentric, seamless design. This is the direct result of TPT Golf's fully automated manufacturing process called "Thin-Ply Winding," which gives TPT Golf the ability to independently tweak each shaft design parameter. This revolutionary, robot-driven process ensures unrivaled consistency and unlocks superior performance for golfers of all abilities. Unlike other shaft manufacturing processes, the patent-pending Thin-Ply Winding Method enables TPT Golf to create shafts that are exactly the same time after time.

"Every product we create at TPT Golf is on the cutting edge," said TPT Golf Technical Director Jeff Meyer. "Our design and manufacturing processes give us a huge advantage over standard industry methodologies. The 15-LKP-LT-LW is a product that was developed to meet the needs of the best golfers in the world."

With the 15-LKP-LT-LW, LT stands for "Low Torque" while LW stands for "Light Weight." These specific characteristics are enabled through the unmatched precision of the Thin-Ply Technology, as well as the use of a higher-modulus carbon fiber material that offers the lower-torque performance certain high-speed golfers need to achieve their full potential.

"With the Thin-Ply Winding Method, we have an infinite design window to achieve any design parameter," Meyer added. "We can achieve virtually any bend profile that we need to fit any golfer."

The 15-LKP-LT-LW ($700) will officially debut at the 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando. It will be available for purchase through TPT Golf's worldwide network of authorized fitting locations later this month.
