P3ProSwing Introduces ProLaunch, State-of-the-Art Ball-Launch Monitor

(BETHEL, Maine) – P3ProSwing (p3proswing.com), a leading golf-swing analyzer, practice aid and simulator, announces the introduction of ProLaunch, a new and innovative indoor ball-launch monitor providing industry-leading accuracy. ProLaunch, featuring all new technology, delivers precisely-measured data on ball spin and speed, launch angle, swing path and club face angle – information important to golfers seeking to improve their swings and hone their games.

P3ProSwing is a subsidiary of Sports Vision Technologies.

“ProLaunch is distinctive because it measures both ball and swing data with great accuracy,” said Les Otten, founder and president of Sports Vision Technologies. “By capturing more data, ProLaunch gives insight on cause and effect – how the swing affects ball flight and movement – a comprehensive system at an affordable price for golfers.”

For professional and recreational golfers alike, ProLaunch, a highly-effective indoor golf solution and game-improvement system, shows both what the club is doing and how the ball is spinning, the two key elements of swing analysis.

ProLaunch uses patented and patent-pending software, optics and electronics to capture a mix of the ball’s “in-flight” images from just after impact. The swing-sensing unit captures optical measurements of the club head traveling across a special 64-sensor swing pad surface. Data are analyzed by proprietary and copyrighted software, graphically rendering ball flight and specific swing parameters including ball spin, ball speed, launch angle, club speed, face angle, swing path and tempo. Every club in a golfer’s bag, including the putter, can be used.

The $3,599 ProLaunch package includes: the launch monitor, swing sensing system, stance mat and 152 golf courses. Satisfaction is guaranteed with a 30-day trial.

K-MOTION Announces National Release of K-COACH

Ultimate Coaching Platform Completes Re-brand from K-VEST to K-COACH

(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) - K-MOTION Interactive – the pioneer of innovative, wearable human motion training applications for golf, baseball, softball, fitness, physical therapy and beyond – has officially released K-COACH, a revolutionary instruction-based platform which provides coaches of all-levels with the measurement and training tools to transform their students’ games.

Since 2002, K-MOTION certified golf professionals have been helping everyone from PGA TOUR winners to high handicappers unlock their best golf by optimizing how the body functions during the golf swing. For the past three years, the company has been working to create a new, transformative coaching platform that builds on the acclaimed K-VEST. This national release officially completes the rebranding of the company’s flagship product from K-VEST to K-COACH.

Following a successful debut at the 2018 PGA Show, K-COACH empowers golf professionals of all-levels to better measure, understand, coach and train players. The system allows the coach to understand a student’s movement, so that they can prescribe precise drills designed to spark rapid improvement and ensure these drills are completed perfectly, every time. With the introduction of wrist angle measurement, coaches can understand how the clubface behaves throughout the swing, while launch monitor integration identifies how the player’s swing directly affects the distance and accuracy of the player’s ball.

“Our team could not be more excited to bring K-COACH to market,” said K-MOTION CEO Michael Chu. “This is the ultimate teaching solution for coaches who demand a complete learning system that benefits both their students and their business.”

A groundbreaking feature being introduced in K-COACH is ‘Train Shot.’ The process is both simple and revolutionary: coaches of all levels auto-capture a group of swings, pick the best one or use the average of the group and then let the automated swing fitting feature convert the data into a customized training program that helps players replicate and improve upon their best swing. All of this is delivered through the patented biofeedback training and a cloud-based coaching platform that has made K-MOTION a leader in golf instruction.

“A coach doesn’t need to look at numbers anymore to benefit from 3D and biofeedback,” said Tony Morgan, Head of Golf at K-MOTION. “All they do is find the player’s best shot, capture it and train it. We’ve built the world’s first instant camera for transferring motion to biofeedback training.”

According to Golf Digest, seven of the top-15 golf instructors in America use K-MOTION products for better training. This includes instructors to some of the biggest PGA TOUR superstars in the world. Beyond golf, Major League Baseball teams such as the Seattle Mariners, major universities and select National Hockey League teams also rely on K-MOTION’s revolutionary system to help their athletes achieve optimum movement and performance.

K-MOTION is the industry leader in wearable, motion-training technology that makes athletes better faster. The company’s products (including K-COACH and K-PLAYER) create the complete learning solution: from diagnosis, to supervised instruction, to unsupervised practice. Through patented real-time audio and visual cues, athletes can connect perception and reality and master perfect motion in seconds. K-MOTION creates a seamless connection between player and coach through its cloud-based improvement sequence of measure, assess, coach and train.

TaylorMade Golf Company Introduces P790 UDI

Continuing the Resounding Success of the P790 Irons, the new P790 UDI Combines Forged Construction with SpeedFoam Technology for Extraordinary Distance and Accuracy

(CARLSBAD, Calif.) – TaylorMade Golf, the industry leader in iron technology and innovation, announced today the extension of its globally successful P790 irons with the introduction of P790 UDI, a forged driving iron engineered with breakthrough SpeedFoam Technology for golfers seeking the forged look and feel of a players iron with increased distance and accuracy off the tee or fairway. To date, World #1 Dustin Johnson, #3 Jon Rahm as well as TaylorMade stablemates Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day have all played the P790 UDI on Tour already this season.

The most popular and successful players-distance iron in company history, P790 has seen remarkable success at both the consumer and Tour levels, with many players putting a variety of P790 irons into play in competition, opting for a forged iron that delivers remarkable distance and playability combined with preferred feel in a medium-compact head design with a thinner topline. Similar to the other irons in the set, the P790 UDI is constructed with a soft, 8620 carbon steel body combined with high-strength forged 4140 carbon steel with a wrapped-face construction in a hollow body design.

The P790 UDI’s hollow construction is filled with TaylorMade’s proprietary SpeedFoam material, which serves a dual purpose of generating ball speed as well as the management of sound and feel. Injected into the clubhead, the low-density SpeedFoam provides the face support and damping properties that make the performance of the P790 unlike any other iron in the TaylorMade family.

The P790 UDI also features a re-engineered Inverted Cone Technology optimized for the slightly smaller face area. TaylorMade’s previous ICT had a larger, heavier profile. The new, smaller Inverted Cone in the P790 UDI allows for reduced face thickness at the edges of the face, thus increasing flexibility from heel to toe and low on the clubface, resulting in more ball speed across the entire face. For forgiveness and playability, P790 UDI features strategically placed internal metal-injection-molded (MIM) tungsten weighting for precise CG placement and higher moment of inertia (MOI).

After experiencing increasing demand from the best golfers on worldwide Tours, we’re excited to bring the Ultimate Driving Iron to golfers everywhere with the new P790 UDI. Offering SpeedFoam in a driving iron for the first time ever, the P790 UDI delivers distance and accuracy like never before seen in an iron. -Tomo Bystedt, Senior Director, Product Creation

Available at retail starting 3/30 at $219 USD, P790 UDI will be offered in RH only as a 2-iron (17°) and comes equipped with Project X’s popular HZRDUS Black shaft (85g) designed for low launch/low spin and gripped with a Golf Pride TV 360. Carr Golf Announces Exclusive Summer Getaways to Ireland and Scotland

World-Class Courses Include Old Head Golf Links, Royal Portrush, Portmarnock and Muirfield

(DUBLIN, Ireland) – Carr Golf – premier provider of unforgettable golf vacations – presents exclusive “once-in-a-lifetime” itineraries with play on world-class layouts including Ireland’s Old Head Golf Links, Royal Portrush Golf Club and Portmarnock Golf Club as well as Scotland’s Muirfield.

Dramatically residing on a rugged peninsula extending into the Atlantic Ocean, Old Head Golf Links features some of the most breathtaking vistas in the game. Whirling winds off the sea and rolling topography create all the natural challenges a golfer would ever want. To enhance the trip, opt for helicopter transportation out to play this incredible course. It is one of the most extraordinary arrivals to a first tee in the game.

Northern Ireland’s only layout in the British Open rota, Royal Portrush Golf Club is set to host the 2019 edition marking just the second time golf’s oldest and most international championship will be staged outside of Scotland and England. Dunluce Links – one of Royal Portrush’s two superb courses – plays through rollicking dunes with dramatic elevation changes providing challenge to even the most accomplished golfers. Recent updates ahead of The Open include two new holes, a reshaped 8th green and several new back tees to lengthen the course by nearly 200 yards. It’s as “world-class” as a layout can be.

Founded in 1894, Portmarnock Golf Club consistently ranks among the world’s top links courses and is a true must-play. Its signature hole, the captivating 15th, is known for its stunning sea views and difficulty. With a trio of bunkers surrounding the green, the 204-yard par-3 is as daunting as it is beautiful. It will host the 2019 British Amateur in conjunction with nearby The Island Golf Club. Located just 15 minutes from the Dublin Airport, Portmarnock is an ideal locale to tee it up on arrival or getaway day.

Known as the “greatest day in golf,” a trip to the east coast of Scotland to play mighty Muirfield is essential for any lover of the game’s resume. The visit features 36 holes of golf plus lunch in the stately clubhouse where a jacket and tie are required. Home of The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers since 1744, this Old Tom Morris design features two concentric rings with the back nine nestled inside the front nine’s outer ring. This unique feature ensures a variety of wind conditions that has vexed the best golfers in the game throughout its rich history.

“Our unending goal is to provide our guests with ‘wow’ experiences and memories they will relish for years to come,” says Marty Carr, executive chairman of Carr Golf. “What better way to test where your game stands at the height of golf season than on the firm and fast links of Ireland and Scotland?”

Other popular summer destinations include Ireland’s Ballybunion Golf Club and Scotland’s Carnoustie Golf Links. Established in 1893, Ballybunion celebrates its 125th anniversary this year. Boasting two traditional links layouts – the stately Old Course and newer Cashen Course – the distinguished club has anchored numerous golf trips over the years from the U.S. to Southwest Ireland. Now the Old Course is even better thanks to 2016 enhancements including renovated greens, refined approaches, re-turfed surrounds and at least 38 re-vetted bunkers, all creating as true a links golf experience as one could want.

Carr Golf’s 2018 Open package combines attendance at the 147th Open at Carnoustie with play on some of the  finest links courses on The Open rota. Those who wish to play Carnoustie – generally regarded as one of the toughest and fairest Open venues – can do so right after this year’s event.

With its years of experience and flawless reputation Carr Golf also works closely with additional world-class layouts in Ireland including Tralee Golf Club, Waterville Golf Links and Lahinch Golf Club as well as lesser known “must play” gems including Carne Golf Links, Enniscrone Golf Club, Dooks Golf Club and Ardglass Golf Club.

The full-service tour company specializes in unrivaled customer care and premier “one-of-a-kind” itineraries featuring luxury accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, fine dining, caddies and anything else needed for stress-free, unforgettable golf vacations.

Kilmarlic's New 18 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina

Kilmarlic Golf Club on the Outer Banks opens three of 18 new on-site cottages. Thirteen cottages will surround a 5,000-square foot, lighted putting green, with five others set on a pond

(OUTER BANKS, NC) - Kilmarlic Golf Club announces the opening of three new cottages, among 18 total new cottages being built on property.

The new cottages are positioned just inside the Club entryway along the main US-158 highway artery. Positioning has been a major part of Kilmarlic’s success since its debut in 2002. The Club is located five miles west of the Wright Brothers Bridge that connects the mainland to the Outer Banks.

For vacationing golfers staying on the beach side of the bridge, Kilmarlic is easily within reach. “In 10 minutes,” long-time Director of Golf Bryan Sullivan likes to say, “You can have your toes in the ocean.”

With very few hotel accommodations on the Currituck County mainland, Kilmarlic’s new cottages will be a welcome addition.

The cottages are two bedrooms, each with its own bath, along with a loft that has two more twin beds, meaning a total of six golfers or a family can comfortably stay in one cottage. Three cottages are now open and construction should soon begin on the remaining 15 units.

Thirteen of the cottages are designed around a 5,000-square foot, lighted putting green, with five others set on a small pond. In addition to the putting green, there is also now a four-hole Short Course, offering a quartet of par-3 holes that play between 27 and 40 yards. The 1,000-square foot greens on the Short Course are surrounded by small bunkers.

“Golfers will love it,” Sullivan said. “They can walk right out the front door and they are right on the Short Course. They can make some bets and go out there and play.”

Kilmarlic has been buoyed by the success of its Club Cottage, which enjoyed its best year ever in 2017. The Club Cottage offers four comfortable bedroom suites with master baths, a large adjoining living area and fully equipped kitchen, and is picturesquely perched adjacent to the clubhouse, practice area and first tee box. Kilmarlic also has on site a health club and swimming pool, along with basketball and tennis courts.

“We’ve been very, very busy,” said Sullivan, a former North-South Amateur champion and an All-American at the University of North Carolina with teammate Davis Love III.

“That’s another reason we’re building these cottages,” he said. “People just love staying right here on property and they love the golf course. It’s worked out well.”

In addition, in June 2017 a brand-new, $47-million water park called H2OBX opened directly next door to Kilmarlic. “They did a great job with it,” Sullivan said. “It’s a beautiful water park. They’ve gotten a lot of great feedback. People loved it. They got a lot of positive energy from this new attraction.”

The Kilmarlic accommodations are not just for golfers. The Club often books week-long rentals before families check into their houses on the island. For golf groups the Club also offers breakfast and will host occasional pig-pickins.

”With these cottages it’s going to be a really neat little community development,” Sullivan said. “We have two-night minimum stays here, but they are great for two- or three-night, short getaways. In the summertime it’s a great spot for families.”

Outer Banks 2018 golf package and travel planning information for the new Kilmarlic cottages is available at www.PlayOBXGolf.com or 800-916-6244.

Bridgestone Golf Launches TOUR B XS Tiger Woods Edition Golf Balls

(COVINGTON, GA) – Bridgestone Golf – innovator of premium golf balls, clubs and accessories – unveils the TOUR B XS Tiger Woods Edition golf balls, a collaboration with the 14-time major championship winner that benefits the TGR Foundation, which receives a portion of all proceeds.

The golf balls feature a custom “TIGER” logo that replicates how Woods marks his competition golf balls and distinct packaging to highlight the charitable benefits and limited, special-edition product. From a performance perspective, the Tiger Woods Edition ball is identical to the standard TOUR B XS model, which Woods currently uses on the PGA Tour. The new line ($49.99/dozen) will be carried at participating national retailers beginning April 1st.

"We worked closely with the Bridgestone team to come up with a concept that benefits both golfers and my TGR Foundation, which is very important to me,” says Woods. “The TOUR B XS easily outperforms any ball I’ve ever played. It is incredibly long, but offers excellent feel and spin around the green, which makes me confident in any situation.”

With a decorated career that includes 14 major wins and a record run of 683 weeks as the world’s top-ranked golfer, Woods transitioned to the TOUR B XS before the 2017 Hero World Challenge and has since recorded his best professional finishes since 2013. Beyond playing Bridgestone balls in competition, Woods appears prominently in the company’s marketing campaigns, including the new “You’re Back THERE!” video, available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c1M4UXBEtg.

“Tiger is a rare athlete who transcends his sport and it’s been a treat for golf fans around the world to watch him compete this season,” says Angel Ilagan, President and CEO of Bridgestone Golf. “Working with both Tiger and the TGR Foundation has been a tremendous experience and we’re excited to build on the popularity of Bridgestone golf balls, while helping a great cause.”

The TOUR B XS Tiger Woods Edition is the newest member of the popular TOUR B Series, the most technologically advanced golf balls Bridgestone has ever produced. The X and XS lines provide low-handicap players with tremendous spin and greenside control due to a soft urethane cover formulation, while increased distance comes from enhanced aerodynamics and an improved 330 Dual Dimple design.

During development, company engineers used data from more than three million in-person and online ball fittings, combined with insights from leading third-party industry sources, to identify needs of specific player types. They then drew on more than 800 golf ball patents to determine which proprietary technologies would most benefit each golfer persona identified.

The line consists of the TOUR B X, XS, RX and RXS (each $44.99) – which provide unmatched feel, accuracy and distance. To help players find the perfect ball for their games, Bridgestone offers two quick, easy and comprehensive fitting options:
- BFIT Golf Ball Fitting App – Free to download, the app turns the iPhone into a mobile launch monitor by utilizing the camera to analyze the user’s swing and recommend the best Bridgestone ball for his or her game.
- New Online Fitting Tool – Available at www.bridgestonegolf.com, it accommodates the full spectrum of players. The “Quick Fit” option easily determines the best ball for novices while the in-depth “I Know My Game” presents detailed questions to assist experienced golfers to find the perfect fit. The “I’ve Been Measured” path allows users to input launch monitor data, ensuring the most accurate recommendation possible.

Each TOUR B Series golf ball features proven characteristics which continue to make Bridgestone Golf among the most respected brands in the industry. They include:
- Accuracy – Gradational core optimizes energy transfer to create low side-spin and high ball velocity for incredible distance and accuracy gains.
- Consistency – Seamless cover design utilizes injection molding technology to stabilize ball flight on all shots.
- Distance – Aerodynamically superior dimple profiles provide different player types with vastly enhanced length and control.
- Feel – SlipRes cover technology increases friction by creating more stability between the ball and club for enhanced control with irons and wedges.

In addition to Woods, Bridgestone Golf’s professional staff includes FedExCup champion Brandt Snedeker, Olympics bronze medalist Matt Kuchar, Masters winner Fred Couples, rising stars Bryson DeChambeau and LPGA stars Lexi Thompson and Cheyenne Woods.

Next month, Green and a friend get to enjoy a golf experience with the PGA Tour star as part of a dream vacation to Reynolds Lake Oconee, the award-winning golf and lakefront destination between Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia.

“I play golf twice a month,” said Green, who plays to a 10 index at The Crossings. “I am really looking forward to meeting Stewart Cink and playing golf with him. REKS Launches HD Digital Prescription Lenses Delivered in Unbreakable Frames

Impact-Resistant Lenses with Greater Field of Vision and Improved Clarity Over Traditional Manufacturing Techniques

(RELEASE) - REKS eyewear is introducing a new line of prescription lenses through a partnership with Revolution Golf, golf’s largest direct-to-consumer digital platform and part of NBC Sports’ portfolio of lifestyle businesses. The campaign, starting March 29, also will be supported through commercial spots on Golf Channel.

REKS burst on the eyewear scene two years ago at www.reks.com with comfortable, fashionable and unbreakable frames paired with the best lens value in the marketplace -- polycarbonate polarized lenses with anti-reflective coating for an incomparable price of $50.

“We paid close attention to customer feedback over the past two years and the most frequent request we received was whether we could provide prescription lenses in our unbreakable frames,” stated George Granoff. “Our team has met this challenge and can now offer prescription lenses featuring the industry’s best technology at excellent prices, true to REKS tradition of packing a punch with style, comfort, quality and value.”

“Since its debut, REKS eyewear has been popular with our golfers, thanks to its high-quality, polarized lenses that provide super-sharp clarity from fairway to green and their unbreakable frames that can withstand being tossed about in a golf bag or golf cart with no problem,” said Justin Tupper, founder of Revolution Golf.  “We are excited to launch the REKS prescription line and are confident that golfers of all abilities will reap the benefits.”

REKS prescription lenses will be manufactured with the latest freeform digital technology that produces a high definition lens with greater field of vision and improved clarity over traditional lens manufacturing techniques. Digital generators place the complete design and Rx, including the “add” power on the back of the lens, closer to the eye. “This type of digital pinpoint manufacturing cuts the lenses in hundredths of a diopter and not the usual 10th of a diopter, thus creating a lens that is 10-times more precise than the traditional manufacturing process,” added Granoff.
In addition to polycarbonate lenses that are the standard in the industry, REKS also offers Trivex lenses. Trivex lens material was originally developed for use by the military for helicopter windshields and fighter jet canopies. Then, in 2002, PPG Industries tailored the chemistry of the material specifically for use in optical lenses, making Trivex one of the most lightweight, impact-resistant eyeglass lens materials available.

Because of the way Trivex is manufactured, it has less chromatic distortion than a polycarbonate lens, resulting in a sharper visual experience. “A high definition Trivex prescription lens is what many eye care professionals consider to be the best combination of safety, comfort, appearance and optical performance,” said Granoff. “We are truly excited to offer this leading lens technology to our unbreakable frames to create a line of industry-leading eyewear for consumers who are looking for stylish and functional glasses at an affordable price.”

Anti-reflective coating makes such a difference in lens appearance and performance, REKS will not deliver a lens without it. Therefore, AR is included for no additional charge. This microscopic coating eliminates light reflecting from the front and back surfaces of the lenses, giving the lenses a crystal-clear appearance. Additionally, all tints and gradient tints are offered at no additional charge.

REKS provides a 30- day no-questions-asked money back guarantee in addition to a 1-year warranty against scratches.

REKS HD single vision polycarbonate lenses with anti-reflective coating, including frame, will sell for $125.00
REKS HD progressive polycarbonate lenses with anti-reflective coating, including frame, will sell for $225.00.

The new TS1, SONAR and Comfort PLUS grips feature Lamkin’s latest innovations designed to optimize performance, comfort and durability, while benefiting from unique characteristics appealing to a wide range of players.

The launch of the three new golf grips marks an exciting time in Lamkin’s 93 year history, as Bob Lamkin, CEO and President of Lamkin Grips explains, “We are always committed to delivering the highest quality, best feeling and most functional grips, but appreciate that every golfer will have a different take on those qualities.  We’ve spent the last year developing new materials, surface patterns and sizing to ensure every type of golfer has the best feeling and highest performing grip for their specific game.”

Each of the new grip lines use specific proprietary hybrid compounds designed to provide unparalleled performance, grip comfort and long-lasting durability. Lamkin has also developed innovative new Micro-Texture surface patterns for a more comfortable and confident grip connection. All of the grip lines are offered in Lamkin’s new PLUS shape featuring a straighter profile that is slightly larger in the lower hand. The reduced-taper profile, inspired by Tour players, helps to eliminate excess grip tension for greater shot control.

TS1 is a distinctive high-performance grip that delivers exceptional feel and performance. Made with new hybrid materials that are slightly softer than traditional rubbers, the TS1 retains exceptional durability and all-weather performance. The grip’s functional Micro-Texture Technology optimizes torsional stability and provides outstanding grip control. TS1 is an excellent choice for golfers who prefer a responsive, Tour-inspired and high-performance grip.

SONAR is an exceptionally appealing grip that offers both a comfortable, tacky feel with a high-performance material and a functional network of unique micro textures. The reduced-taper profile encourages the ideal light-pressure grip tension for greater shot consistency and control. A tacky and responsive feel make SONAR ideally suited for a wide range of players looking for a grip that feels as good as it performs.

Comfort PLUS is the perfect grip for golfers that prefer a soft and shock-absorbing feel, but want the proven durability of a traditional rubber grip. Made with the soft and durable DSX material, Comfort PLUS features a shallow Micro-Texture pattern and unique un-buffed finish to deliver a smoother surface and exceptionally comfortable feel.  The reduced-taper, straighter shape reduces excess grip tension for a smoother, more controlled swing. Finally, an ultra-soft grip with the all-weather performance and durability that only rubber can offer.

TS1 is priced from $9.99 MSPR, and will be offered in Black/Red in both a Standard+ and Midsize+ (+ refers to reduced taper sizing).

CaddieNow Hires Shannon Kneisler as Marketing Manager

Popular Caddie Service Adds Seasoned, Industry Expert to Oversee Brand Initiatives, Support Continuing Expansion

(Haymarket, VA) – CaddieNow, the popular app bringing caddies back to the game, announced today it has hired former LPGA Tour player and experienced industry star Shannon Kneisler as CaddieNow’s national Marketing Manager.

Shannon Kneisler
Kneisler has been involved the golf industry for over 25 years as a LPGA Tour player, LPGA Class A instructor, writer, speaker, marketing consultant and golf business owner.  In joining the Executive Team at CaddieNow, America’s fastest-growing, caddies-on-demand platform, she’s overseeing the company’s national branding campaign as well as marketing initiatives to support partner courses and clubs.

CaddieNow also assigned Kneisler a dual title, as she will be the Regional Lead in Dallas-Fort Worth, which just became the latest expansion market to get the service. Kneisler lives in Fort Worth.

“We are proud to have someone of Shannon’s caliber join CaddieNow,” said Dave Cavossa, CaddieNow Founder and CEO. “She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the industry from virtually every perspective.  She has a unique focus on the end user. Because of her great background, she understands the challenges facing golfers, caddies, clubs and courses and we will leverage that expertise to the benefit of our partners and everyone working with us.

“People like Shannon will help CaddieNow carry golf into the “Gig” economy, which is the future of the industry,” Cavossa added.

Kneisler said, “CaddieNow has proven to be a win-win for golfers and golf courses from California to Florida and from New Jersey to now Texas, so I am extremely excited to bring my abilities to the national leader in this field. As a native Texan, I’m also proud to be the lead in the thriving DFW area.  There is tremendous growth-opportunity here and that matches what’s going on at CaddieNow.”

Kneisler is well regarded in the industry. She found success quickly at the age of 14, when winning her first Junior Golf Tournament only three weeks after holding a club.  She credits her late father, Roger, in having the largest influence on her love of golf. He was even her tour caddie at times.

Possessing a natural swing led to receiving a NCAA Division 1 Golf Scholarship. She eventually competed on the LPGA Tour until a near-fatal car accident changed her life. After recovering from serious injuries and unable to play competitive golf again, she redirected her efforts to her business and marketing background.  She has supervised a cross-functional team of marketing/creative directors, circulation multi-channel web, advertising strategies and operations, many related to the game. She has appeared on the Golf Channel, Fox Sports and written articles for golf magazines.

Most recently her career has revolved around being an agent of change within the industry, promoting increased diversity and inclusion in golf.

One of the main reasons Kneisler signed on with the company is she agrees and believes in the CaddieNow mentoring aspect, especially youth who want to caddie. Since its founding, CaddieNow’s stated mission has been to bring caddies back to golf and grow the game through youth caddies and make them easily accessible to golfers of all skill levels at lower costs at any course.  The company’s goal is to engage the youngest generation in golf by providing them exposure to the game and entry to multiple courses as caddies.

Her hope is golfers will not only enjoy their CaddieNow experience, but they will also impact and affect the youth they encounter.

“Caddying has so many positives.” Kneisler said. “It’s a new life experience and personal education. It provides immediate income and opens networking opportunities that can help teens and college students with their future careers. The lifetime effect can be immeasurable.”

She and her husband, Matthew, have a four-year old son, Boaz, and now live in Fort Worth.

Founded in 2015, CaddieNow is a shared-economy app, in the model of well-known ride-sharing platforms like Uber and Lyft. The user-friendly virtual service has gained popularity nationwide because it’s easy for golfers to book caddies, for caddies to find work, and for courses -- with or without existing caddie programs -- to offer caddie services.

As part of its launch in DFW this month, CaddieNow is still meeting with and signing agreements with partner courses – and looking to work with more – while also searching for potential caddies to staff its demand.

CaddieNow has made it easy for either youths or adults to become caddies. Candidates can sign up and register online at to http://www.CaddieNow.com. Each caddie joins the team after going through a three-step process with video and on-course orientation.

To use the service, golfers simply download the free CaddieNow app, which is available for iPhone and Android devices, and register. After golfers enter the course, date and time they plan to play, they receive a confirmation notice from their looper, who will meet them at the course. Fees range from $30 - $80, plus tip, depending on the golfer’s desired level of caddy experience. CaddieNow continues to offer four levels of caddie service: JR LOOPER, LOOPER, FORE-LOOPER and PRO-LOOPER. The company is currently operating on more than 100 courses.

Get Shafted - Finding the Right Shaft for Your Game

(Willowbrook, IL) - Think you know a lot about golf shafts? Think again! Did you know there are no standards for shaft flex?    It can mean something different for every manufacturer. Playability tolerances in each category of stiff or regular are vast! To understand this better, I spoke with several shaft industry leaders: Fujikura’s Sales Manager Chad Embrey; Victor Afable, CEO of VA Composites; Gawain Robertson, Owner of ACCRA Shafts; and Nick Sherburne, co-founder of Club Champion.

Club Champion is the #1 premium club fitter, builder and retailer of the best brands in golf. Their master fitters and builders are unrivaled experts whose approach is unbiased, where no specific vendor is promoted. The only goal is to find the best combination of components to lower your scores. Club Champion offers over 35,000 hittable shaft and head combinations, making Sherburne an expert on this topic.

“The industry taught us the club head is the engine of the golf club because that’s “what hits the ball”, but the shaft is far more important.” Sherburne says. “With thousands of shaft options and no industry ‘flex’ standards, it’s nearly impossible for golfers to find the shaft that performs best for them without professional help. It’s important to find a skilled fitter with a launch monitor to find the right shaft to maximize your performance.”

According to Robertson, “terms like stiff or regular flex are so generalized, they essentially mean nothing.  Different sections of the shaft can be totally different flexes.” Manufacturers design shafts for three different sections; 1) butt (the grip end), 2) midsection and 3) tip sections. They can produce shafts that are soft in the middle, stiff at the tip, and medium in the butt or any combination imaginable.  Robertson adds, “Club fitters understand the profiles of shafts. If a player needs something with a softer tip section and a stiffer butt section, they know which shaft has that profile. Club Champion’s understanding of how to fit golfers is an integral part of any club being successful in a player’s hands. “

Embrey adds, “Flex specifications are impacted by torque - a misunderstood shaft specification.  Many golfers believe lower torque means better shafts, which is not necessarily true.  Seasoned fitters will often choose a higher torque shaft for smoother, slower swingers to help get the ball up in the air faster and create spin. Lower torque is better for players that swing aggressively.”

Afable believes custom fitting is very important. “Shafts with various weights and flexes react differently to individual heads. Some retail stores sell shafts off a wall. The problem is they may or may not be the right shaft for you. Furthermore, the builder who installs the shaft may not know how to trim it correctly which is where things can go wrong. It is essential to find a highly skilled fitter, like Club Champion, who understands the difference and are trained to properly fit and install shafts.”

There is an enormous difference between club manufacturers’ stock shafts and higher-end, aftermarket models Tour professionals play. Typically, cheaper shafts are made from lower grade materials. They’re manufactured in larger quantities in places like Mexico and Vietnam, which often means watered down tolerances.  Exotic materials from Japan maintain very tight tolerances, not only for weight or flex, but straightness and roundness of the shaft. When a shaft is not rolled or manufactured properly, there will be gaps within the layers of graphite, which can really affect performance. Embrey adds, “Mostly, OEM shafts do what they're intended to do, but they're not designed to dial players in.”

Club Champion uses a unique coupling system allowing golfers to hit any combination of heads and shafts. They find combinations that solve a golfer’s problems. Most fitters use club carts provided by club manufacturers, however, they are unable to mix-and-match across carts to determine the ideal combination.  Club Champion offers hundreds of shafts, many not available through most other fitters and retailers.

Sherburne believes golfers should start thinking about what value they put a on their golf game. “Sometimes people come in and say they’ll just get something off the shelf because spending $500 to get an extra 20 yards isn’t worth it. That 20 extra yards is two less clubs into the green? Hitting pitching wedge instead of 8-iron, you’re going to hit more greens. I can almost guarantee that 20 yards is going to knock two strokes off your handicap.”

Club Champion delivers a Tour-quality fitting producing longer, more accurate shots with a nearly 100% satisfaction rate. Whether looking to buy new clubs or just fix your current set, a premium club fitting is the answer. Many assume that premium fitting is only for great golfers, but a 2017 Golf Magazine fitting study found that high handicappers improved even more dramatically. With 31 studios across the country and seven more coming in the next three months, Club Champion is ready to improve your game. Don’t just buy clubs, buy guaranteed improvement.
